Bone Marrow Drive
The national philanthropy of Lambda Phi Epsilon is our bone marrow drive. Every year, the Sigma Chapter of Lambda Phi Epsilon works closely with the Asian American Donor Program as well as the Cammy Lee Leukemia Foundation to try and get more Asian donors to register in the National Marrow Donor Program. Diseases such as leukemia and lymphoma affect a person's ability to produce healthy white blood cells, which compromises the immune system. A bone marrow transplant is required in order to treat these diseases. Potential donors must be very closely related to the recipient if the donation is to be successful, hence eliminating the possibility of finding inter-racial matches. By increasing the number of Asian donors in the national registry, Lambda Phi Epsilon hopes to better the chances of Asian patients finding donors that they are compatible with.
The donation process is very quick and pain free. A simple cheek swap is all that is needed to add you to the registry. Every donor in the registry is another possible life saved, so please look out for announcements on when we will be holding our next drive!
3v3 Basketball Tournament
Every semester, Lambda Phi Epsilon and the Penn Taiwanese Society team up to host a 3v3 basketball tournament. The proceeds go towards the Jade Ribbon foundation for Hepatitis B.
Fusion Jam
Fusion Jam is the Sigma chapter's signature club party. Every spring, we attract brothers and sisters from all over the East coast to the biggest party of the year. Look out for us in the spring!
